Happy Belated 4th!

I know, I know. It has been a while. Sorry for the delay in the update but I am back in business in the world of blogging. Well, at least until Wednesday. We leave for the Kemp Family Reunion on Thursday! Gio and Genny will be keeping the girls until the 19th and Kayla will be house sitting and dog sitting for us until we get back. We are so fortunate to have such great friends and family! THANKS GUYS!
Quick update on my Grandma... she had another surgery and didn't get out of the hospital until this weekend. She is doing well now though and is "temporarily" in the nursing home.
I hope you all had a great 4th! We spent last Friday celebrating with Elizabeth Schell on her citizenship. She is from South Africa and now has dual citizenship in the US and S. Africa. Congrats Elizabeth! She can throw one heck of a party. We had steaks, chicken, and kabobs! YUMMY! That night we watched fireworks with Gio, Genny, Matt, and Sarah (and thier parents). This MIGHT have been the last year for fireworks due to county/city budgets but we will see if that holds true next year.
Saturday we went boating with Gio, Genny, Matt, and Sarah. I tried really hard not to get burnt but I missed the spot between my swimsuit and shoulders. Ooops! Yup... I am peeling already. We had a great time out there though. I LOVE summer and one great way to spend hot summer days is out in the heated lake on a boat. Heated lake? Yes... its true. Clinton lake was built to cool the nuclear plant. And we swim in it! :) haha
Sunday we met Grant and Julie in Morris for dinner and some fun in the park. We also TRIED to plan our trip to Europe. I think we ended up more confused that when we started. Oh well. We will get it figured out! If we could just narrow down the countries that we will be visiting! haha I have some pictures to post from our fun in the park. I will try to get them out here this weekend.

In the meantime, here are some photos from the Park 2 Park race. Leann was the race coordinator. She not only coordinated but she also ran the race!

More pictures to come later! :) Have a great weekend.
